Motorized Filters
Motorized cleanroom filters are key components necessary to creation and maintenance of a cleanroom or controlled space as the number of filters used in a room determines the cleanroom classification. Please contact CleanroomSupply Products to discuss any technical questions you may have regarding how many filters your specific cleanroom needs.
Motorized cleanroom filters are self contained assemblies equipped with a HEPA or UPLA filter element and powered by quiet, energy efficient motors. Filter units are available in a number of dimensions including 2 x 2 ft, 2 x 3 ft, and 2 x 4 ft sizes. Our filters are constructed of steel coated in a white powder, aluminum, or stainless steel finish and produce approximately 54 decibels (dBA) of noise. Many of our motorized filters also feature sound dampening or baffle elements. Units typically require 1.5 to 3.5 amps of power and most feature electrical components which are UL Listed or UL Recognized.
Each motorized filter can be adjusted to suit the air flow requirements of your environment by using the units’ solid-state variable speed control. The recommended initial air velocity for the motorized filter is 90 to 100 feet per minute (fpm). Only when units produce less than 70 fpm air velocity does the filter need to be replaced. In most situations, just the filter requires replacement, and the blower assembly portion of the unit can remain intact. To ease the process of changing filters, roomside filter replacement elements are available. Leaks are prevented in these kinds of filters with a gel channel which secures the seal between the filter and the housing.
CleanroomSupply carries several different configurations of motorized filter units. Flow thru light, hazardous environment elements, remote speed control, power cords and power indicator lights are only some of the many motorized filter additions and options CleanroomSupply can supply.
